I spent one night at The Fearrington House Inn and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The room was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable, with every detail designed to make the stay feel special. The staff were gracious and attentive without being overbearing. It was a peaceful, relaxing getaway—just what I needed. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I’m already looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommend!

I've been interested in staying/dining at Fearrington for quite some time, so I was glad to finally have done it. I had the standard King room, with a view of the gardens, so that was nice. The king bed and sheets were soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely done. They have a heating rack for towels, so that was a neat touch. I could see where this hotel really shines, in the Spring and Fall. The restaurant is great for the setting, atmosphere and presentation of the dishes. Funny enough, my favorite dish from here was the blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Those were the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had. The size and quality of the blueberries really stood out.

I had the pleasure of dining in their bar restaurant. Every detail was taken care of, even the way they explained we had to wait for service at our table was so well spoken and managed. The food was First Class. The host, server and bartender all amazing. The cocktails, hand crafted and presented by the bartender herself, were nothing short of spectacular. What a Hidden Gem.

We highly recommend the Fearrington House Inn, a beautifully appointed, privately owned retreat nestled in the rolling countryside just a short drive from Raleigh and Durham. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by quiet elegance. Spend time exploring the delightful boutiques, gift and book shops, café, wine tasting rooms, and soothing spa. The Inn’s renowned dining experiences should not be missed, from breakfast to an exquisite candlelit dinner, each is crafted with artistry and care. The Belted Goat offers a café-style relaxing lunch along with gourmet treats, baked goods, coffees and teas. The gracious staff embody the true spirit of hospitality, ensuring every moment feels personal, relaxing, and unforgettable—a perfect escape for those seeking romance and renewal. We've been twice and look forward to our next visit!

We discovered the full English Tea by accident while visiting family in Wake Forest. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated in a beautifully decorated room with a view of the yard. The food was delicious. A nice assortment of tea sandwiches, scones and cakes. We only needed to make our tea selection. We spent time touring the surrounding shops and the magnificent McIntyre Book Store. We plan to stay at the Inn next time.

Sorry, but I had to take away a star for a couple of reasons, but will start with the fabulous first. Service above and beyond for the inn, front desk, restaurant, spa and boutiques. Gorgeous grounds with groundskeepers constantly maintaining. A special shout-out to Meghan for an outstanding massage. Afternoon tea was a truly delightful experience in the beautiful formal dining room. The shops have amazingly distinctive items. We were upgraded to a spacious king suite, much appreciated. Super comfortable bed and luxury linens with no shortage of a variety of pillows to suit any preference, a winner for us. Stunning bathroom with outstanding shower, towels and heated towel rack separated the sitting area from the bedroom making us feel like we were in an apartment! However, I have to agree with other reviews that while the carpet looked brand new and the suite was impeccably clean, the furniture and drapery in drab tans and browns are truly outdated, failing to give that huge suite the tremendously high end elegance it deserves. Note, there really are limited days and times for any kind of dining. We did not learn we could have a delicious informal dinner in the lovely bar area of the restaurant until our last evening as the website gives the impression the only dinner choice is a 4-course pre-fixe only. Do make a reservation. It won't disappoint! Breakfast was, WOW! Loved the "appetizer" smoothies and choice of white sugar or brown. My husband ordered the Fearrington breakfast everyday which is incredibly huge, eggs cooked perfectly. The disappointment came with the lemon/blueberry pancakes I was salivating to have. The first stack wasn't thoroughly cooked so I sent them back only to have the second come served the same way. Someone mentioned gummy, but the reality is they appeared to be cooked on one side only and just barely at that. Sorry to say that after two tries I moved to the oatmeal as the pancakes were a real miss. All, in all, this is a lovely, well-cared for and hospitable property. More importantly, the staff is first class with a genuine interest in making guests feel welcome.
